Methu emphasized that Raila should openly state whether he intends to join the government or remain with the opposition.

Speaking on Thursday, Methu remarked that the time had come for Raila to clarify his position.

“To former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, show us your signal so we know whether you are with the government or with us. If you plan to join the government or stay with us, let us know soon. The time is now,” Methu said.

He made these remarks during the launch of the Martha Karua-led People’s Liberation Party (PLP), which rebranded from NARC Kenya. The event, held at Liberation House in Nairobi, attracted key political figures and civil society leaders.

Recently, Raila Odinga indicated that he would be making a major announcement soon. This came after a high-level meeting with President William Ruto, where they discussed various national matters. Following the meeting, Raila vowed to “consult wisely” as he planned his next steps.

On Tuesday, Raila continued his consultative process, beginning in Kisumu, where he engaged elders from the region. He shared his experiences from the African Union (AU) elections, discussing the campaign process, voting dynamics, and the lessons learned. He emphasized that his AU bid is now behind him and that it’s time to move forward.

Raila also met with youth leaders from Kisumu County and party officials, urging them to remain strong and to continue strengthening the party. He assured supporters that he would consult widely across the country before making any final decisions.

“I will not limit myself to Nyanza. After this, I will visit other parts of Kenya,” Raila stated.

He announced that he would make a public statement sometime next week after completing his consultation tour. “I will make an announcement sometime next week; watch this space,” he said.
