A 70-year-old Reverend of the African Inland Church (AIC) celebrated a vibrant Valentine’s Day wedding with his 60-year-old partner at the AIC church in Kiambu.
Rev. Edward Muiruri, aged 70, exchanged vows with Loise Wanjiru, aged 60, in a ceremony graced by numerous family and friends.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, Rev. Muiruri expressed that after seven solitary years following the loss of his late wife, finding companionship was profoundly meaningful.
“I’ve endured a long period of solitude since my spouse’s passing seven years ago. It hasn’t been easy to navigate life alone at my age,” shared Muiruri.

Similarly, Wanjiru, having experienced prolonged singleness, felt immensely blessed by God’s answer to her prayers for a life partner.
“I feel rejuvenated, experiencing youthfulness once more. This Valentine’s Day wedding is a moment of pure joy for me,” remarked Wanjiru.

In their advice to younger individuals, the couple emphasized the importance of patience in understanding one’s partner thoroughly, cautioning against hasty decisions that might precipitate domestic discord or tragic outcomes resulting from marital conflicts.
