Police seized more than 2,500 bullets during a raid in Laikipia, as reported by the National Police Service (NPS).
This operation, guided by intelligence, took place in the Minjore area of Kirima sub-county. Alongside the ammunition, authorities arrested a couple believed to be the owners.
The NPS expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in this successful operation. This action is part of broader efforts to combat illegal firearms, particularly in regions prone to banditry like Laikipia.
In a separate incident, detectives recovered a firearm believed to have been stolen from an Officer in Charge of a police station in Vihiga during an attack by a gang.
