Authorities in Eldoret have apprehended two individuals suspected to be involved in the murder of Benjamin Kiplagat, a Ugandan athlete born in Kenya.
The lifeless body of the athlete was discovered in his car on Sunday morning in Kimumu estate on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
Moiben Sub-county Police Commander, Stephen Okal, confirmed the arrests, stating that one suspect was taken into custody within Uasin Gishu, while the other was apprehended in the neighboring Trans Nzoia County.
Law enforcement revealed that they relied on CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene and other technical evidence to track down and detain the suspects.
The arrested individuals are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
