Reports indicate the children were alone when the blaze started, as their parent had gone to work. On returning home, the parent found the house engulfed in flames.
Authorities have since launched investigations to establish the cause of the fire, which remains unclear.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but the fire had already ravaged most of the house.
The children’s bodies were moved to the Nyeri County Referral Hospital mortuary.
