Ruto Lands in South Africa for Key State Visit

President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have arrived in Pretoria for a two-day state visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Kenya and South Africa.

The presidential couple landed at Waterkloof Air Force Base on Wednesday, where they were officially received by South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Alvin Botes.

The visit is expected to centre on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, regional peace, security, and other areas of shared interest between the two nations.

Officials from both countries are also looking to deepen economic and diplomatic engagement, with discussions likely to explore new opportunities for partnership between the two leading African economies.

As part of the programme, President Ruto is scheduled to hold high-level talks with South African leadership during the official state visit.
