Senator Khalwale Apologizes for Bull Tragedy

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has expressed his apologies to the family of a worker who tragically lost his life after being gored by his champion bull on Saturday night.

Speaking during a gathering at his Malinya village residence in Ikolomani constituency, Khalwale acknowledged the unfortunate and regrettable nature of Kizito Amukune’s death. He recounted how Amukune had spent the previous day joyfully, having been paid his monthly salary, and had spent the day caring for Inasio, the bull that held a special affection for him. Khalwale expressed bewilderment over the sudden turn of events that led to the tragic incident.

The Senator, along with the bereaved family, outlined an elaborate burial plan that incorporates various cultural traditions.

Amukune was discovered lying in a pool of blood within the shelter of Khalwale’s home, where he had been tending to Inasio. Witnesses reported hearing him singing to the bull earlier in the evening, as was his custom, before he suddenly fell silent. It is suspected that he may have been under the influence of alcohol when the bull attacked.

Subsequently, the 500-kilogram Inasio was euthanized by Khalwale and outraged villagers, who then shared the meat among themselves.
