Opposition leader Raila Odinga has disclosed his academic qualifications as he seeks the position of African Union Commission Chairperson.
His educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Magdeburg Technical School & Otto-Von-Guericke University, a Certificate in Senior Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, and various other certificates in standards and quality control from institutions in the USA and UK.
Raila’s resume also highlights his experience as the High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa from 2018 to 2023, where he supported the African Union’s infrastructure initiatives.
His qualifications are complemented by numerous honors, including honorary doctorates from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, Limkokwing University, and Maseno University, among others.
President William Ruto is expected to officially announce Raila’s candidacy on Tuesday.
