Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has recorded a statement with officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at Parliament following a recent attack on him in Kisumu.
On Tuesday, Osotsi, alongside members of the Linda Wanchi team, called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those believed to have planned the assault. The group said they possess what they termed as overwhelming evidence linking a senior government official to the incident.

They warned that they would pursue private prosecution if authorities fail to act swiftly in arresting and charging the suspect.
The delegation also accused the government of enabling growing cases of political violence and organized attacks, arguing that the incident reflects a broader trend of intimidation targeting leaders. They further faulted the government for remaining silent on the matter.
Bomachoge MP Alfred Obadiah Barongo urged authorities to take action, warning against normalizing hooliganism.
The team also announced plans to hold a public rally in Kisumu on April 26 to mobilize support and demand accountability over the alleged attack.
These developments come at a time of rising political tensions, with leaders increasingly trading blame over escalating violence during political events and public gatherings.
