Nyambura has been grappling with a mysterious and debilitating swelling in her stomach, which she initially believed was a pregnancy. However, the swelling only grew more pronounced, prompting her to seek medical help across multiple hospitals, yet without finding a solution.

Since 2019, the condition has made it increasingly difficult for Nyambura to walk, as the growing mass has become too heavy to bear. Despite undergoing an ultrasound at JM Kariuki Memorial Hospital in Ol Kalou, no conclusive results were found. It was only after visiting Nakuru PGH Hospital and undergoing a CT scan that doctors determined the swelling originated from her uterus, and they advised immediate surgery.

The persistent condition has affected every aspect of her life, including her ability to sleep. Nyambura now wakes up every 10 minutes during the night to adjust her position.

Desperate for relief, Nyambura is now appealing to well-wishers across the country to help her raise the funds needed for her surgery at Kenyatta National Hospital. In addition to her health challenges, she is also facing difficulties in caring for her three children—who are in Form 2, Grade 8, and Grade 6—as their grandmother struggles to support them and ensure they stay in school amidst financial constraints.

Nyambura hopes that the kindness of Kenyans can help her access the treatment she urgently needs.
