Police in Nairobi are investigating a case in which a man died after being assaulted by his nephew during a domestic altercation in Umoja estate.
The deceased, identified as 45-year-old Stephen Ng’ang’a, reportedly engaged in a heated argument with his nephew, which quickly turned violent. The cause of the dispute remains unclear.

Ng’ang’a was rushed to hospital with severe injuries but succumbed four days later. Police were informed of the death and transferred the body to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. A manhunt for the suspect is underway, with detectives treating the case as murder.
Meanwhile, in Makindu, Makueni County, police are holding a 55-year-old man accused of killing his 80-year-old father, Julius Maundu Ndunda, during a family fight at Kalii village.

According to authorities, the suspect struck his father on the head with a blunt object following a quarrel, killing him instantly. The man was arrested at the scene and is expected to face murder charges on October 21, 2025.
