Modern Coast has spoken out regarding the recent bus fire incident near the Gilgil weighbridge on the Naivasha-Nakuru highway, confirming that one of its buses caught fire on Saturday.
In an evening statement, the company assured that all passengers on board were safely evacuated and there were no injuries.
While the cause of the fire is still being investigated, the company stated that another bus was quickly sent to the scene to transport the passengers to their intended destinations.
“We are grateful for the swift actions that ensured everyone’s safety. We sent another bus to continue the journey interrupted by the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation,” the statement said.
The company also expressed regret, acknowledging the inconvenience and distress caused by the incident, and apologized to passengers and other road users.
