A police officer assigned to Embakasi Police Station was discovered dead in his residence after failing to report to work for two days.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to find Police Constable Geoffrey Kinzi after his notable absence raised concern.
The team arrived at his home near Trace Hotel in Embakasi Village, which was locked from the inside.
Peering through a window, they saw the officer lying unresponsive on his bed.
Concerned, the officers gained entry by cutting through the window grill and found Kinzi’s body in a supine position.
A preliminary examination revealed no visible injuries on the officer’s body.
The scene was processed and documented, and the body was taken to Montezzuma Monalissa Funeral Home for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities have initiated investigations to ascertain whether the cause of death was suicide or homicide.
