Speaking at the event, IEBC Commissioner Ann Nderitu, who chairs the Election Operations Committee, said the plan is aligned with the commission’s Strategic Plan 2024–2029 and is intended to streamline the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of electoral activities.

According to Nderitu, the roadmap is designed to ensure key election-related activities are implemented on schedule while promoting transparency, accountability, legal compliance, stakeholder involvement, and public participation throughout the electoral process.

She noted that the framework also seeks to strengthen the commission’s institutional capacity and preparedness ahead of the 2027 polls.

Nderitu highlighted several important timelines, including the presidential election date of August 10, 2027, and reminded public officers intending to vie for elective positions that they must resign from their positions at least six months before the election.
