A 30-year-old man tragically lost his life after being electrocuted while attempting to reconnect power to his home in the Mkuru Kayaba slums of Nairobi.

Authorities and eyewitnesses reported that the man, identified as Vincent Onyango, was found dead on Sunday night shortly after the incident.

The electrocution occurred following a power outage that had affected the area. Onyango attempted to restore the electricity when he came into contact with a live wire, witnesses told the police. He was rushed to a nearby clinic but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigations.
