A man has been handed a 15-year prison sentence for sexually assaulting a minor in Machakos. The verdict was delivered on Wednesday following his conviction for the crime.
As per a statement from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the convict, Alloys Waema Ndunge, committed the offense on November 1st, 2021, at Kikambuani Trading Centre, Kangundo Sub-county, within Machakos County.
During the trial, four witnesses presented corroborative evidence against the accused. The court, presided over by counsel Mirriam Mwaure and Salome Koinnet, determined that the prosecution had sufficiently proven its case according to the legal standard.
