The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the opening of the portal for KCSE 2023 graduates to seek placements in universities, colleges, and TVET institutions.
All students who have completed their national exams are encouraged to apply for admission to higher education institutions. The online portal facilitated by KUCCPS is now receiving applications for various institutions including Universities, TVET institutions, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and Open University of Kenya (OUK).
Applicants should note that both 2023 KCSE candidates and those who completed their secondary education between 2000 and 2022 are eligible to apply.
To initiate the application process for university placement, students can access the KUCCPS website and navigate to the student portal.
The 2023 KCSE results, disclosed on January 8, 2024, by Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu, revealed that 201,133 students attained a C+ and above, meeting the minimum requirement for university admission. This figure represents an improvement from the 2022 results, where 173,345 students achieved the same grade.
