Speaking at the Shinyalu Economic Empowerment event in Kakamega County on Friday, Kindiki said Ruto’s government is committed to improving the lives of all Kenyans regardless of ethnicity, region, or status.

“As others focus on tribal politics and sideshows, we are committed to building the nation. We’ll return to voters in 2027 with a track record of development,” he said.

He emphasized that the broad-based government, which includes both President Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, is uniting leaders to fast-track key projects such as roads, healthcare, electrification, housing, and more.

In Kakamega, Kindiki highlighted several ongoing projects: the upgrade of Kakamega Referral Hospital to Level 6, the revamp of Bukhungu Stadium, construction of modern markets like the one in Khayega, and affordable housing initiatives at Masinde Muliro University and Sigalagala National Polytechnic.

He also announced that the county had received KSh 2.5 billion to connect 26,000 new homes to electricity under the last-mile program, stressing that every household should benefit from power access, not just the wealthy.

Kindiki pointed to the revival of sugar factories and a new investor for the gold sector as signs of the region’s growing economic recovery.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure Kenyans earn more across all sectors,” he stated.

He criticized the opposition for engaging in ethnic politics and empty rhetoric, saying they have no real development agenda for the country.

Kindiki was accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Speaker Moses Wetangula, Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, President’s Aide Farouk Kibet, and several MPs from across the country.
