Kenya Power Issues Eviction Notice for Komarock Land

Kenya Power has issued a notice demanding the vacating of a parcel of land in Komarock and has warned that failure to comply will lead to a forced eviction.

In a public notice released on Thursday, March 13, 2025, the utility company stated that the notice concerns its land, LR NO. 113044/R Nairobi, located in Komarock, Nairobi County.

The notice reads: “Be advised that you are unlawfully occupying KPLC land, LR NO. 113044/R Nairobi, in Komarock, Nairobi City County, without lawful authority or any right under the law, in violation of the court order issued in Milimani ELCC No. 1453 of 2007 on 26/09/2024.”

The company further instructs: “You are required to immediately cease any activities on the land, remove any structures or improvements made, clear any crops planted, and remove any livestock. You must vacate the land within three months of this notice. After this period, you will be forcibly evicted at your own cost and risk, with no further notice.”
