Several counties will experience power outages on Monday, as announced by Kenya Power. Residents in parts of Embu, Kiambu, Nyeri, and Nyamira will be affected due to scheduled maintenance.
The interruptions will occur between specific hours in each region:
– In Nyeri, areas such as Mayori, Mariari, and Kiambere will experience an outage from 8 am to 4 pm.
– Customers in Ngiori, Iriamurai Mission, Ngiori Airtel, Kamurugu, Kiamukuyu, Machanga Dispensary, Kangungi, Karuki, and neighboring areas will also be affected during this period.
– Additionally, the interruption in Nyeri’s Kahuru area will impact locations including Gikororo TBC, Kahuru Market, Kianjuu TBC, Ndima Tea Factory, and Mathia Market from 8 am to 5 pm.
– In Kiambu, Rironi and Tilisi areas will face outages from 9 am to 5 pm, affecting residents around these locales.
– Nyamira’s Ikonge and Ekenyero areas will experience interruptions from 9 am to 4 pm, affecting customers such as Mogeni Tea Factory, Metarrora Tea Factory, Keritor Tea Factory, Ikonge, Ekerenyo, Nyamusi, Obwari, Tombe, Nyabikomu, and Chisaria Primary School.
Overall, these planned interruptions are necessary for maintenance purposes and will inconvenience residents during the specified times.
