Jowie Drops Worship Song “Nakuabudu” Minutes After Murder Verdict

Jowie Irungu’s song “Nakuabudu” debuts on YouTube shortly after he is convicted of murder. The song, attributed to Jowie, was released on the platform just after his guilty verdict for the killing of businesswoman Monica Kimani at her apartment in 2018.

During the court proceedings, Jowie appeared alongside former television personality Jacque Maribe, who was acquitted of the murder charge by Justice Grace Nzioka. However, Maribe was found guilty of providing false information to a public officer, as per section 129 of the Penal Code.

Justice Grace Nzioka, in her ruling, concluded that the prosecution presented compelling evidence that met the required standard. After reviewing testimonies from 35 prosecution witnesses, the court found sufficient evidence to convict Jowie for Monica Kimani’s murder.

The YouTube video of Jowie Irungu, lasting 3 minutes and 17 seconds, features a song of praise and worship.
