Having gained valuable experience with Wigan Athletic, Joe Hugill, the 21-year-old striker returns to Carrington to continue his development. His five goals in League One for the Latics, along with 18 total appearances, add to his growing senior career, which now includes 43 appearances and prior spells at Altrincham and Burton Albion. Hugill, who also scored for United in their pre-season victory over Rangers, joined Wigan wearing the number 9 shirt under Shaun Maloney and recently found the net against Wrexham on December 29th. His loan has been cut short via the recall clause.
