Police Commander Peter Kimani said joint teams were still working to recover the missing body.
The accident occurred during the knockout stage of the race when participants from Kijiweni Youth Group reportedly stood up in excitement near the finish line, causing the boat to lose balance and overturn.
Rescuers managed to save most of the team, though three members drowned. The search for the final victim is ongoing.
