Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi’s Son, Elvis Murakana, Passes Away

Beatrice Elachi, the Member of Parliament for Dagoretti North, has tragically lost her son, Elvis Murakana Namenya.

The news of his passing was first shared by Robert Alai, the Kileleshwa Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), on Tuesday, March 25.

“Dear Beatrice Elachi, it is with great sorrow that I express my deepest condolences to you and your family for the heartbreaking loss of your son, Elvis Murakana. As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this immense loss. The pain of losing a child is beyond comprehension, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly tough time,” Alai wrote.

“May you find strength and comfort in the love and support that surrounds you. Elvis, your fourth child, will always remain in our hearts and memories. On behalf of the Kileleshwa Ward community, we offer our unwavering support and prayers to you and your family as you cope with this grief.”

At the time of publication, the exact cause of Elvis’s death had not been confirmed.

President William Ruto also expressed his condolences, sharing a comforting Bible verse from Psalms.

“May God give Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family the strength to endure the loss of their beloved son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the words of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.’ Rest In Peace, Elvis,” Ruto wrote.

The ODM party also extended their condolences, stating, “May God grant Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and her family the fortitude and strength to bear the pain of losing her son, Elvis Murakana Namenya. As a party, we stand with her during this difficult time of mourning and grief.”
