Security teams followed the trail of the stolen animals to the Madoadoa area along the Isiolo–Gambela Road, where they confronted the suspects.
According to police, officers overpowered the cattle rustlers after an exchange of gunfire, leading to the successful recovery of all the stolen livestock.
The 204 cattle were safely returned to their owners, offering relief to residents who rely heavily on livestock for their livelihoods.

The NPS said it is continuing to strengthen efforts to combat livestock theft through enhanced patrols, multi-agency operations and close cooperation with local communities, particularly in pastoral areas.
