A 66-year-old man has been found dead in a family water tank in Kisii, in what is suspected to be a case of suicide.

According to police, the deceased, Vincent Okenye, is believed to have jumped into an underground water tank with a 10,000-liter capacity located in Nyakoe. The tank was filled with water at the time of the incident.
The man’s body was discovered by his family on March 5, some time after the incident occurred.
The motive behind the incident remains unclear, and police have launched an investigation.
The body has since been retrieved and taken to a local mortuary for an autopsy and further examination.
