The four-member team has signed two-year contracts and is tasked with bringing a fresh perspective to the team as Kenya prepares for upcoming international matches.

We are also pleased to welcome Vasili Manousakis, Moeneeb Josephs, and Pilela Maposa to the team,” said Mohammed in a statement.

Mohammed believes the new technical staff will instill tactical discipline, structure, and a winning mindset as Kenya looks ahead to future competitions.

McCarthy, in his first statement as head coach, expressed his excitement about the role. “I am honored to take on this position and eager for the journey ahead with the Kenyan national team. I have analyzed the talent in this country, and I believe there is huge potential to compete at the highest level. Together with my coaching team, we are dedicated to building a structured, disciplined, and competitive squad,” McCarthy stated.

He added that the team’s goal is to establish a strong team identity, play exciting football, and make the nation proud. “I look forward to working with the players, the federation, and the passionate Kenyan fans to achieve success.”

McCarthy and his team will immediately begin preparations as Kenya gears up for World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon.
