Senator Boni Khalwale of Kakamega has reason to celebrate as his daughter stands out among the high achievers in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
Following the announcement of the results by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu at Moi Girls High School in Eldoret on Monday, the outspoken politician took to his social media platforms to share the news of his daughter’s success.
Dr. Khalwale disclosed on his official X account (formerly Twitter) and Facebook that his daughter secured a commendable B+. She sat for the exams at St. Brigids High School-Kiminini in Trans Nzoia County.
“Congratulations, Gift Atubukha Khalwale! I want to thank my family, the entire St. Brigids High School-Kiminini fraternity, and above all, God for supporting my little Tubu to this milestone,” expressed the senator.
In a departure from the practices of many other politicians and public figures, Dr. Khalwale consistently shares his children’s national exam results on social media.

The senator, who successfully reclaimed his Kakamega senatorial seat in the 2022 General Election under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, also provided details of his daughter’s subject grades.
She attained a B in English, Kiswahili, and Biology, along with a B in Mathematics. Her performance included a C in Physics, a B+ in Chemistry, an A in History and Government, and an A- in Christian Religious Education.
This isn’t the first time Dr. Khalwale has celebrated his children’s success in national examinations. In 2022, one of his daughters scored an A- grade (75 points) in KCSE, and in the same year, her twin brother achieved a C+ with 47 points. In 2021, the politician celebrated another son who scored a B+ with 67 points in KCSE.

Over the years, Dr. Khalwale has consistently shared the academic achievements of his children in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education.
