In a resignation letter dated August 17, Ayiro said he was leaving due to what he termed as “false accusations” and sustained public attacks that had taken a heavy toll on his career and personal life.
“This decision has not been easy. It stems from the false accusations made against me. I continue to suffer malicious cyberbullying, threats, humiliation, and even rejection from my church,” he wrote.
Ayiro, who has been in the teaching profession for 26 years, insisted on his innocence, saying the allegations had caused him immense stress. He added that resigning was the only way to safeguard his dignity and peace of mind.
He confirmed paying one month’s salary in lieu of notice through an M-Pesa transfer of Ksh.105,000 to the TSC and sought guidance on clearance and exit procedures.
“I am grateful for the chance to serve as a teacher for the last 26 years. The experience has shaped me greatly, and I hope the Commission will continue promoting fairness, transparency, and support for teachers in their noble role,” his letter further read.
Ayiro’s resignation comes as investigations continue amid heightened public scrutiny over sexual abuse claims at the school.
The former Christian Union patron at Alliance Girls was named in several victim testimonies published in July by Africa Uncensored, linking him to sexual abuse and grooming cases.
