Four people have been killed in a Russian airstrike in Kyiv overnight, local officials say.
The city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said air defenses were operating near the Ukrainian capital.
It is not clear what the target was. Authorities warned of a long-range missile threat and urged residents to seek shelter.
Videos posted online showed a car on fire and water visible on a flooded road.
This is the second deadly attack on Kyiv this month, following a deadly attack in the city on New Year’s Day.
Meanwhile, in the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, local authorities say six people were injured in a Russian attack on Saturday.
One woman is said to be in critical condition.
These attacks are the latest in a war that began following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
