Martha Karua Declares Intention to Run for President in 2027

Martha Karua, the leader of Narc Kenya, has officially announced her plans to run for president in the upcoming 2027 General Election.

Speaking at a burial ceremony in Kiandieri, Kirinyaga County, Karua stated that she is no longer interested in being anyone’s running mate, signaling her intention to vie for the presidency. This move is seen as a sign of growing opposition to the current Kenya Kwanza administration.

“I want to tell my good former Senator Daniel Karaba that I’m beyond any running mate position. I will be contesting for the top seat in the next election,” Karua remarked.

She also emphasized her continued opposition to the Kenya Kwanza government, criticizing its failures. Karua, who has frequently spoken out against the government, condemned the recent wave of abductions allegedly carried out by individuals believed to be police officers, who are meant to protect citizens.

She issued a strong warning to President William Ruto’s government, calling for an immediate end to the abductions, which primarily affect the country’s youth. “These abductions and killings of our youth have become a disturbing trend that must stop immediately,” Karua stated.
