The Russian government has announced that Kenyan citizens can now travel to Russia using a single electronic visa.
In a statement, the Russian Embassy in Kenya revealed that Kenya, Eswatini, and Zimbabwe are now eligible for the single electronic visa, joining other nations allowed to use it for travel to Moscow.
“The Russian government has expanded the list of countries whose citizens can visit Russia with a single electronic visa,” the Russian Embassy stated on X.
The visa allows a single entry into Russia for tourism, business, or participation in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, or sporting events, along with relevant professional activities.
The electronic visa is valid for 60 days from the registration date, and foreign citizens can stay in Russia for up to 16 days from their entry date.
These visas are valid for travel by air, road, rail, or water. They also allow entry and exit at approved checkpoints on Russia’s state border.
To obtain an electronic visa, applicants must complete an online form via the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website at https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru or through a mobile app available on the site.
Applications for the e-visa must be submitted at least four calendar days before the planned entry date. A digital photograph and a scan of the passport’s machine-readable page are required. No other documents are needed for the application.
