President William Ruto is the most popular potential presidential candidate, according to a nationwide opinion poll released by research firm Infotrak on July 13, 2026.
The survey places Ruto at the top with 32 per cent support, giving him a significant lead over former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, who ranks second with 13 per cent.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i are tied in third place, each attracting 12 per cent support.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua follows with 4 per cent, while Embakasi East MP Babu Owino records 3 per cent.
Former Chief Justice David Maraga receives 2 per cent support, while Martha Karua is backed by 1 per cent of respondents.
Another 1 per cent is shared among several other political leaders, including George Natembeya, Eugene Wamalwa, Ndindi Nyoro, Okiya Omtatah, Ekuru Aukot, George Wajackoyah and Jimmy Wanjigi.
The poll also shows that a considerable number of voters have yet to make up their minds. Eighteen per cent of respondents said they were undecided, while 3 per cent declined to reveal their preferred presidential candidate.
