Eight candidates have been selected by the Public Service Commission (PSC) for consideration for the role of Secretary/Chief Executive Officer.
Among them are five men and three women representing various regions, including Homabay, Marsabit, Narok, Bungoma, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Garissa, and Migori.
The shortlisted candidates are Sylvester Odhiambo Obong’o, Gababo Dido Jillo, Christopher Leparan Tialal, Joan Machayo, Juliana Nashipae Yiapan, Paul Famba, Mahat Osman Shale (PWD), and Bahati Keranga Mwita.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Commission House on Harambee Avenue in Nairobi, running from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Obong’o will be the first candidate interviewed, with Mwita scheduled as the final candidate of the day.
Candidates are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled interview time, bringing original copies of their identification cards, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and any other relevant supporting documents and testimonials.

Moreover, they must provide current and valid clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a registered credit reference bureau, and a police clearance certificate.
Candidates must also present a printed online self-declaration application acknowledgment receipt or a self-declaration form stamped by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for their job application.

Additionally, those with degrees from foreign universities need a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE), along with recommendations from relevant professional bodies and associations where applicable.
The public is encouraged to engage in the process by May 20, 2024. The vacancy was initially advertised on April 3, 2024, through print media and the PSC website.
