The visit further reinforced the long-standing partnership between the two agencies, coming about two years after a similar trip by former FBI Director Christopher Wray.

During the discussions, officials from both sides focused on enhancing collaboration in key areas such as counterterrorism, cybercrime, organised crime, financial fraud, human trafficking, drug trafficking, money laundering, and crimes against children.

They also explored ways to strengthen cooperation in modern investigative techniques, including digital forensics, artificial intelligence in policing, cryptocurrency tracking, intelligence sharing, and predictive analytics.

According to the DCI, the engagement also touched on broader efforts to combat cross-border corruption and economic crimes.

DCI Director Mohamed Amin praised the partnership, noting that it has led to tangible results through joint investigations, intelligence sharing, extraditions, training, and capacity-building programmes.

He also acknowledged the United States’ support in improving forensic capabilities and modernising investigative operations within the DCI.

Bailey, in turn, commended Kenya’s efforts in tackling corruption, saying strong anti-corruption measures are key to building investor confidence and supporting economic growth.
