President Ruto Meets Kilifi MCAs to Discuss Major Development Projects

President William Ruto met with Kilifi County Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), led by Speaker Catherine Kenga, at State House Mombasa in the presence of Governor Gideon Mung’aro to discuss ongoing and upcoming development initiatives in the county.

During the meeting, the President and the legislators reviewed key programmes aimed at transforming Kilifi and improving the livelihoods of residents. Among the projects highlighted were affordable housing units, modern markets, and student hostels, with a total investment of Sh21 billion.

The discussions also covered the tarmacking and upgrading of roads across the county, a Sh5 billion initiative, and the expansion of electricity connectivity, funded at Sh2.2 billion. Additionally, the construction of Kilifi Stadium, valued at Sh900 million, was addressed as part of efforts to enhance sports infrastructure in the region.

President Ruto and the Kilifi MCAs further deliberated on the expansion of Malindi Airport, the construction of a modern bus park in Mariakani, and the processing of title deeds across all sub-counties, with a targeted completion timeline of three months.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to accelerating development in Kilifi County and ensuring inclusive growth that benefits all residents.
