The Service emphasized that the recruitment will be conducted in a single day and urged eligible young Kenyans to present themselves.
“On October 31, 2025, the NPS published an advertisement in major newspapers inviting applications from suitably qualified youths for the position of police constables,” the statement noted.
“The recruitment will go on as planned on November 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in all 427 centres across the country,” it added.
NPS said successful candidates will be part of a new intake meant to support ongoing reforms within the Service.
Addressing concerns over bribery, the Service acknowledged past complaints about corruption during recruitment and warned that anyone involved in offering or soliciting bribes would be punished.
The Service urged Kenyans to support its efforts, reiterating its commitment to building a trustworthy, professional, accountable, and citizen-focused police unit.
Earlier, on November 4, the NPS outlined the minimum requirements for applicants. Candidates must be Kenyan citizens with a valid National ID, aged 18 to 28, and must have scored at least a D+ in KCSE, including a D+ in either English or Kiswahili.

National Youth Service graduates who meet the criteria were also encouraged to apply.
Prospective candidates were advised to download and complete the required application forms before the recruitment date.
“The NPS recruitment is free of charge and open to all qualified individuals. Any attempt to bribe or influence the process is a criminal offence,” the statement warned.
It further cautioned that providing false or misleading information to the Service would result in prosecution.
