Equity Bank has announced a planned six-hour service disruption as it undertakes routine system maintenance.
In a customer advisory, the bank said the “send money to other banks” service will be unavailable from 10:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, until 4:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

The interruption will affect transactions conducted via the Equity Mobile App, Equity Online, EazzyBiz, Equitel, and the USSD code *247#. However, the bank clarified that all other services will continue operating normally during the maintenance window.
“We regret any inconvenience caused,” Equity noted in its statement.
The lender also reminded clients to stay alert to fraud and cybercrime, emphasising that official messages are only sent from its verified line: 0763 000 000.
