Police in Machakos County are pursuing a man accused of killing his wife during a domestic dispute in Masinga.
According to officers, the suspect attacked 31-year-old Annastacia Wanza with a mattock, which was later found lodged in her head. She was discovered dead in bed, lying in a pool of blood.

Relatives reported that the couple had frequent quarrels. The suspect fled after the incident, and police have launched a manhunt. Wanza’s body was taken to the mortuary for a postmortem.
In a separate incident in Kavalya village, Kangundo, a livestock trader was murdered in a violent robbery.
The victim, 34-year-old Nickson Muema, was ambushed in his home early Wednesday morning by a gang of about ten men who broke in through a bedroom window.
Police say the attackers demanded money, assaulted him with a blunt object, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. Muema was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
