According to Laikipia County Health CECM Wagura Taiti, the couple’s two children are under medical observation, though their initial tests were negative.
Joint health teams from Nyandarua and Laikipia have been deployed to manage the situation, with contact tracing already completed. Two relatives of the couple are currently in home quarantine.
Taiti stressed that Laikipia has not reported any Mpox cases. He explained that the Ndaragwa patients were referred to Nyahururu because it is the nearest facility with the capacity to handle such infections.
