Police in Eldoret are investigating a disturbing incident in which a man received a package containing three severed human fingers and six live bullets.

The man told officers that on Friday he was contacted by an unknown caller claiming to have a parcel for him. After sharing his location, a motorcycle rider was dispatched to deliver it.
When the man, who was at a bar at the time, collected and opened the envelope, he found three fingers—identified as the forefinger, ring finger, and little finger from a left hand—alongside four 7.62mm and two 9mm bullets.
No note was enclosed.
The fingers were taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary for examination, while the bullets were sent for ballistic analysis. Police believe the victim may have been killed or mutilated and have taken fingerprints from the severed digits for identification.
The motorcycle rider has been questioned, but the sender, who has since switched off his phone, remains unidentified. Authorities are yet to establish the motive or the identity of the person to whom the fingers belonged.
