316 Kenyans have died while working in Gulf States since 2002, according to Musalia Mudavadi, the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

He disclosed this during his Senate appearance, noting that the deaths occurred across six of the eight Gulf states.
The highest number of fatalities were recorded in Saudi Arabia (166), followed by Qatar (58), and the UAE (51).

Mudavadi also highlighted the challenges in tracking Kenyan workers due to movements between countries and inconsistent registration with Kenyan missions abroad.
