The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stated that the arrest resulted from an intelligence-driven operation that led officers to her hideout along Major Muriithi Street in Eastleigh.

During the raid, police recovered a passport and a mobile phone, which have been handed to forensic analysts for further examination. Authorities say the investigation aims to uncover the broader network to which the suspect may be connected.

The DCI confirmed that Hassan is currently in custody, undergoing processing ahead of her arraignment.

“Through enhanced intelligence operations, inter-agency coordination, and strong community partnerships, the DCI remains committed to protecting the country and ensuring that every Kenyan can live without fear,” the agency said in a statement.
