Esteemed journalist Dickens Wasonga has tragically passed away after a severe road accident in Kisumu.
The Kenyan media community mourns the loss of Wasonga, a dedicated reporter for the Star based in Kisumu, who was involved in a fatal car crash in the Mamboleo area on Friday morning.
Among those mourning his demise are ICT CS Eliud Owalo, MCK CEO David Omwoyo, alongside other leaders and colleagues in the journalism field, who remember Wasonga as the recently elected chairperson of the Kisumu Journalists Network (KJV).
“Dickens was a very easy-going person, a team player, forthright and very cooperative and exhibited a lot of professionalism in everything that he did. As an industry we have lost a very integral member of the family,” CS Owalo said.
