Sifuna was joined by several leaders, including Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Siaya Governor James Orengo, and ODM deputy party leader and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi.
The gathering attracted a significant police presence, with officers urging organisers to postpone the event.
“They can hold their meeting on a different day. We are engaging the leaders to reschedule,” said Assistant Inspector General Issa Mohammud.
Addressing attendees, Orengo warned against any interference, stating that any attack would have consequences and those responsible would be held accountable.
Sifuna also condemned the reported disruption by police, insisting the meeting was lawful and peaceful, and cautioning against any form of force directed at participants.
