A woman was apprehended in Siaya for attacking her husband with a machete, causing him serious injuries.
The incident occurred in Abimbo village, South Sakwa, where the 45-year-old man, Samson Atunda, was hacked on the face by his wife, Shaniz Achieng, while he was asleep.
The matter was reported to the authorities by the Assistant Chief of Got-Abiero, Collins Waganda, and the victim was admitted to Bondo sub-county hospital with a deep facial cut.
Neighbors intervened and transported the injured man to the hospital, while the police took the woman into custody.
A blood-stained machete was seized from the scene as evidence for further investigation.
