Salon Owner Found Dead in Roysambu Apartment

Detectives in Kasarani, Nairobi, have launched investigations after a 43-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment in what is suspected to be a murder.

Police said the body of Flowrence Nyagah was discovered on the morning of March 1, 2026, inside her second-floor house along Lumumba Drive. Authorities believe the incident occurred earlier, and the main suspect — reportedly a police officer — was still at large by Monday.

Officers who examined the scene said the woman, a local salon operator, had suffered multiple stab injuries and was found lying on the floor. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered from the kitchen.

According to investigators, Nyagah had been at home with her partner on February 28 and had spoken to her daughter via video call that day. Concern arose after she failed to answer subsequent calls, prompting her daughter to visit the house, where she made the discovery.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination. No arrests had been made as of Monday, and the motive behind the killing remains unclear.
