The approved timetable divides the fifth session into six segments.
Part I runs from February 10 to April 2, 2026, with sittings set for Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and afternoons, and Thursday afternoons. This will be followed by a short break from April 3 to April 20.
Part II resumes from April 21 to May 14 with Tuesday afternoon sittings, before shifting from May 15 to June 1 to Wednesday morning and afternoon sessions and Thursday afternoons.
Part III covers June 2 to July 2, maintaining the three-day sitting format. Senators will then take a recess from July 3 to July 13.
Under Part IV, the House will meet from July 14 to August 6 before proceeding on a longer break from August 7 to September 7.
Part V is scheduled from September 8 to October 8, followed by another recess from October 9 to November 2.
The final segment, Part VI, begins on November 3 and continues into early December under the established sitting schedule before the long end-of-year adjournment.
The notice states that plenary sittings will run from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 9.30 am to 1 pm on Wednesdays, in accordance with Standing Order 34.
Any special sittings will be communicated through Kenya Gazette notices under Standing Order 33.
Committee meetings will be suspended from December 11, 2026, to January 29, 2027, marking the close of the legislative calendar.

The approved schedule sets out a clear framework for legislative duties, including debate on Bills, oversight of county governments and matters related to revenue allocation, as the Senate heads into the final full year before the 2027 General Election cycle intensifies.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly has also adopted its calendar running until December 3, 2026, with its first segment from February 10 to March 12, followed by a short recess from March 13 to March 30.
