A bus company worker was discovered dead in a Nairobi lodging, prompting a police investigation.
Identified as Christopher Otieno, aged 48, he had lodged along Kirinyaga Road. Otieno, employed by a bus company with extensive routes, failed to awaken on Sunday, having checked in the previous night complaining of chest pains.
Expecting to depart for Mombasa, Otieno’s colleagues raised concern when he didn’t emerge.
Police were summoned when the guest room’s door was found locked from inside. Upon entry, Otieno was found deceased on the bed.
His body was relocated to the City Mortuary for autopsy, with authorities notifying his family and the bus company management of the tragic occurrence.
