According to investigators who visited the scene, the boy’s body was lying on its back and had visible injuries on the head and abdomen.
Authorities also reported finding blood stains on the child’s inner clothing, prompting concerns that he may have been assaulted before being killed and abandoned in the plantation.
Early investigations reveal that the boy attended classes at Jayden Academy on Thursday before he was reportedly picked up by a bodaboda rider.
Police say the rider allegedly dropped the child along a feeder road leading to his home, but he never reached his destination.
